We are so proud of our friends and supporters for their performances this weekend at the New York City Marathon and Rock ‘n’ Roll Philadelphia Half Marathon. It’s great to see these athletes running happy and healthy, especially with many top performances, personal bests, and amazing debuts. Here are some of the most notable performances from ROLL Recovery ambassadors this weekend.
Laura Thweatt 7th at New York City Marathon in 2:28:32. 1st U.S. Woman
Laura Thweatt debuted in the New York City Marathon on Sunday with a 7th place finish (1st U.S. woman) and a time of 2:28:23. Her time was also 7th fastest for any U.S. woman on the tough New York City Course, just off of the course record for an American female debut. She was featured in the New York Times yesterday for her performance! We’re happy to see a fellow Boulder runner and Roll supporter competing with the best in a new event.
Top 10 Male Finishers at New York City Marathon
Meb Keflezighi and Craig Leon placed 7th and 8th respectively in the NYC Marathon, finishing as the 1st and 2nd U.S. men. Meb set a new U.S. Masters record by 20 seconds with his time of 2:13:32. Craig Leon hung with the lead group to finish in 8th in 2:15:16. Nick Arciniaga also came away with great finish coming in 16th place in 2:22:07.
