JEREMY DODSON Hometown: Denver, CO Current town: Denver, CO Birthday: August 30, 1987 RR'S 60m: 6.57 100m: 10.03 200m: 20.07 400m: 45.91 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5Jv6vdtEyI HOW DID YOU GET INTO RUNNING?
My dad was a club track coach in Denver, so track was a off season training method for other sports, like football, baseball, and basketball. It was something to keep my brothers and I occupied over the spring and summer seasons.WHAT MOTIVATES YOU TO GET OUT THE DOOR EVERYDAY?
My family motivate me constantly, not through verbal responses, but by hopeful means to someday take care of everyone I can possibly can in my life.FAVORITE TRACK WORKOUT:
My absolute favorite workout is when its all done! Just kidding. It depends on the day. There are days when I love the explosive speed workouts such as fast 150s, and there are days when I want to find a rhythm and groove and let the workout take me away, like interval 200s or controlled 300s. Working out is my getaway, so my favorite workout depends on how I want to get away for that day!FAVORITE DISTANCE TO RACE:
I am not as explosive as many elite sprinters, so the 200m is my favorite race. It takes a gameplan and patience in execution in order to complete it perfectly. It tangles on the border of control and chaos.FAVORITE WEIGHT WORKOUT:
I love anything that involves two legs, such as heavy glute bridges, or trap bar deadlifts. Anything that involves the use of the arms tends to frustrate me because I cannot necessarily "push" through the mental blocks.FAVORITE RECOVERY TOOL:
I love the R3 because its very versatile. It can attack the arches of the foot, or convert to releasing back muscles after weight sessions.WHEN DO YOU USUALLY USE THE R8?
I use the R8 before waming up, in between reps on the track, and surely after the workout is complete. I especially use the R8 after recovery baths, whether it is an ice bath or warm epsom salt bath.WHAT BENEFITS DO YOU FIND FROM USING THE R8?
The greatest benefit of the R8 is the convenience and ease of use. Where a foam roll requires a bit of balancing and propping yourself up, the R8 can be done in a chair, waiting in line, or when your'e on the ground dead after a hard workout.FAVORITE QUOTE:
