German Steeplechaser Travels The World With Her R3

We are so excited to have the 2019 IAAF World Athletics Championships Bronze medalist in steeplechase from Germany, Gesa Krause, training in our neck of the woods - Boulder CO. She’s now gearing up to compete in her third Olympic Games!

Find out why she has plantar and tibialis issues with her left foot and what she does to keep it under control.

"When I was younger I have to admit that I never did anything before my runs, I never stretched afterwards, I was pretty lazy but when you grow up, when you get older you figure out that it's necessary to treat your body well otherwise you'll easily get injured and struggle with problems. I'm a little bit more precautious with my warm up routine and what I do first. I love the R3. I have some plantar and tibialis issues with my left foot. That's the one I'm landing in the water barrier with all the time so there's a lot of pressure on this foot."
